Tulsidas Biography – Tulsidas (1532–1623) was a great Indian poet and philosopher. Tulsidas ji wrote ‘Ramcharitmanas’ which is considered one of the greatest epics of Hindus. Goswami Tulsidas was born in 1532 AD in the Rajapur district of Banda in Uttar Pradesh during the reign of Mughal Emperor Akbar.
Tulsidas was a Saryuparin Brahmin by birth and is believed to be an incarnation of the sage Valmiki, who composed the Ramayana in Sanskrit.
