Surjakund International Crafts Mela is popular worldwide for its artisanal and cultural aesthetics. The Surajkund Mela was first organized in 1987 conceptualized by Haryana Tourism to promote traditional and local artists. The fair has been successful and in 2013, it was upgraded to an international fair. Every year, an Indian state and a foreign partner are given the theme for the fair. Over 20 countries participate in this fair.
