The Kurma Purana is one of the eighteen Mahapuranas, and a middle age time Vaishnavism text of Hinduism. The text is named after the turtle symbol of Vishnu. The quantity of parts shift with local compositions, and the basic version (altered by Anand Swarup Gupta, and distributed by the All-India Kashiraj Trust, Varanasi) of the Kurma Purana has 95 sections.
