High Permeability “49” alloy is a 48% nickel-iron alloy. It is a dark gray metal with some shine. High Perm 49® belongs in the high temp metals.
High Perm 49® has exceptionally high permeability and low magnetizing forces, as well as a high saturation flux density and low core loss.
