Avelo Airlines Inaugurates Flights To Charlottesville

Avelo Airlines inaugurated its new nonstop service between Charlottesville Albemarle Airport (CHO) and Orlando International Airport (MCO) on May 3, 2023. The new route will operate twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays, with fares starting at $49 one-way. Avelo’s inaugural flight to Charlottesville was met with a water cannon salute from the Charlottesville Fire Department. The flight was also attended by local dignitaries, including Charlottesville Mayor Nikuyah Walker and Albemarle County Board of Supervisors Chair Jeff Griffith.
